It’s often held that vigilantism is bad because it breaks the cop monopoly on justice. As continent men all of us have a stronger sense of courage and like to see it in others.
Although most Nanjingers are just like your other Chinese in that they allow problems to persist, make excuses and leave society in a semi-mess state, one thing that is different here is that we have the lowest violent crime rate in China and also serious contra-theft citizen vigilante team. Most of our thieves come from out of town (they are Mudslimes from Xinjiang), they don’t know this punishment is coming. But Nanjingers know it’s there so they don’t dare, and there’s still lots of good anti-Is-slime street action to watch.
If you’re interested in seeing Nanjingers in action, go here and watch what happens to a bike thief. Perhaps this is one of the major attractions I find to this city, that you can take the law into your own hands, and if you’re fair, the citizens and police will support you.
We can walk around the city at any time of day or night, in any area we like. We can sit in the park at 3 am if we want and walk around alone with lots of cash.
Thank you Nanjingers for making this city safe!
