What Is A Society?

At the foundation of a society is land(including bodies of water), territory. A society can not exist without land. Land and the environment is integral to human existence and thus a land is a part of who we are. Land is sometimes referred to as a realm.

Upon that land exist people who occupy different social functions. These people exist in what is known as a class system. This class system can be likened to viewing society as a human body where some people are like the head of a body(intellectuals), some people are like the arms(military), some people are like the heart(religious leaders), some people are like the legs(craftsmen), and some people are like the feet(servants).

This body, this society, is known as “the people”. The people are a nation and a nation defines itself by the land it occupies and thus a nation calls itself a country. When someones country is insulted they sometimes feel offended because they feel as though the body which they are a part of is being insulted and so they feel personally insulted. However some nations are sick and deserve to be insulted.

The foundation of society is the household, the family. The family unit is like the cells of a society. When families are damaged that is like a disease in society. The disease of damaged families spreads to other families because those things that damage families are things that people share and sell with one another. Drugs, alcoholism, psychiatric medications, pornography, prostitutes, homosexuality, fluoridated water, food with poisonous chemicals(aspartame, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavorings, msg, etc…), masturbation, and bullying are all things which harm families. These are called social problems. Social problems infect families in a way similar to the way in which a disease spreads and this destroys the organs of society(when society is likened to a body). These things are poisons.

Laws are essential to regulate the media and regulate other professions in order to fight against the poisoning of society. Censorship is a necessary thing in order to prevent people involved in the entertainment industry from promoting harmful things like drugs. Laws are also needed to prevent the food industry from poisoning people with harmful additives. Laws are needed to prevent water fluoridation. A people is protected through good laws. When a society is sick(corrupted) the laws become something which helps enable people to harm a society.

People exist in a symbiotic relationship with the green world. Things like trees and other green things help provide us with oxygen while we help provide them with carbon dioxide through the chemicals we exhale. Environmental conservation is important for the sake of the environment itself and the beings that occupy those environments. It is also important for the sake of humanity so we have clean air to breathe and clean water to drink. Animal rights are important because the level of progress a society has reached can be judged by how well they treat those who are most vulnerable among them. And the most vulnerable among us are animals. This is why animal testing should be outlawed.

On the land we occupy we extract food for our nutrition. This is why science is important. The sciences help us figure out how to produce nutritional food and help us to store the food and the sciences help us establish living quarters that are comfortable. Science is also integral in helping us figure out how to preserve the environment. Laws are necessary to preserve the environment.

Anarchy is not functional because laws are needed to govern people. Without laws people would devour the earth and devour each other.

In order for a society to establish laws that are for the good of the people the politicians must be free of corruption. Because of this politicians and public officials like police officers should be banned from being freemasons because one of the oaths a freemason takes is that a freemason should not testify about the wrongdoings of fellow masons in a court of law. Freemasonry encourages political corruption.

The beauty of a realm not only depends upon the state of it’s environment. The state of its architecture is important too. Architecture represents the soul of a people. This is why it is very good that Prince Charles of The U.K. devotes some of his time to preserving old architecture and criticizing forms of architecture that are tacky.

What people try to get from being members of society is food, living quarters, and free time one can devote to ones own personal enrichment activities. Personal enrichment activities lead to spiritual growth. Spiritual growth is inner exploration and the way people engage in inner exploration is through meditation.

    It seems like the word “law” has been used to supplant “morality” in modern society. This may seem like nitpicking, but think about it. There is actually a law from the EPA that fluoridation is criminal, but other laws stating that it must be done.

    No such confusions in morality.

    If you read the Talmud and all their silly discussions of law, you realize that law is a bastardization of morality. Law is some attempt to say God and the universe are totally not related to man. Then they come up with absurdities like 3/5ths persons and if ten men kill a man, all are not guilty, because each can only be 10% guilty, which is under 50% guilt.

    Morality was supplanted by law. Religion was supplanted by schools, state, philosophy, and psychology. Dragons were supplanted by dinosaurs. Kings were supplanted by parliaments and congresses. God was supplanted by career, money, success, sex life, soul mates, and drugs.

    Really then, we need to get back to the old ways to be doing anything with any soul in it.

    • How does a person discern that which is moral? We have some ideas of what is moral, for example animal rights is moral. But ultimately how do we discern what is moral? What faculty of thinking do we use? We can look at The Bible and see that some things it says are moral. But other stuff it says isn’t moral. I mean I guess the conscience helps us figure out what is moral but how does one activate the conscience and how does one discern what the conscience is saying?

        On the external level, some ideas are perennial in every religion. There’s no religion where being a coward is a good thing. Virgins and chastity are praised across religions. That’s a good start, anyhow. My conscience really gets behind these two ideas.

        Yama and Niyama, perhaps, cover morality completely? For me, the more I practice them the more my conscience agrees with them.

        Good questions though. And a good response from Mr. Janoklark. There is good work being done here.

        This page lists what yama and niyama are, the virtues contained in them. These seem like a good foundation.

    Yes, indeed. What’s your opinion on non-violence?

    Personally, I’d rather kick ass than be Ghandi. And that feeling has come out of chastity! When I was a waster I was far more “prace and love”.

    Without chastity you’re like a car with no gas. There is no chance of going over the the speed limit (being too violent) without gas.

      I think that it’s a very White feeling you have, your sense of justice. It’s natural for us. I don’t buy into non-violence and total ahimsa that is common in Hindu and Chinese doctrines. There’s a reason why much of Europe is safe and clean, particularly in comparison to India and China.

      Though I find Hindu and Chinese religion to be more consistent and less corrupt, with a greater body of pure and genuine scripture than Christianity – I still find pacifism to be repugnant.

      Yes God will mete out justice. But who will be the agents of that justice? If everyone is passive, nothing gets done. Society rots into a hell hole like India or much of China.

        It feels good to be part of something bigger than myself, it feels good to be White and have White brothers.

        Perhaps total ahimsa is for those who have dropped out of society completely, i.e. sages like Nityananda. It’s definitely not normal or natural. If total ahimsa is popular in India or China, it might be due to confusing the behavior of a perfect sage who has nothing to do with society with how everyone else should act.

        Females love to drone on about ahimsa. They think it only consists in physical violence and that they can get away with verbal abuse.
